Well Scott only ended up having 1 week off in between cas
When we first arrived we hit up the aquarium, actually first was ‘Chee Burger Chee burger’, and then it was off to the aquarium. We spent all morning on the “Ocean Side,” took a break for Grant to nap, and then went back for the “River Side,” and an IMAX movie on sharks. It was fun!
However, the best part of the trip was getting to see and stay with one our closest couple friends from Utah (we missed you Zach and Andrea)! Jeff and Jess also have 3 kids. They moved to Chattanooga to start a ServePro chain and are killing it! It was so fun to see their life, and stay in their beautiful home! Accommodating a family of 5 is no easy feat, but they were beyond gracious and even got up early to cook a big pancake breakfast and send us on our way.
Yes, appropriately enough, they sell lots of rock candy in Rock City.
School’s out for summer!! During the last couple of days Taylor had Field Day (she was the hula hoop queen). Jackson had to miss his all star game and field day because of the SEC tournament—it’s tough having too many fun things to do! However, on the last Monday of school, Jackson had his ‘Shark Tank’ presentation—where he had to create a company and present it to the ‘sharks.’ He started a chess lesson service—$5 for 30 minutes. He looked like a little Scott walking out the door—the sharks loved his PowerPoint presentation and the fact that he dress up!
All the spring sports concluded as well. Jackson’s Blue Wahoo baseball team finished 1st in the league, but lost by 2 in the final game of the playoffs. It was act
Taylor wrapped up her 3rd season on U5 girls “Dominican Republic” soccer team. She is fairly indifferent towards sports in general, but definitely enjoys her friends, and is actually a pretty strong player.

The best part about summer is the trips to the lake. We spent almost an entire week surrounding Memorial Day weekend at the lake, and it was fabulous. We had a friends up the first night (the Clarks), and then the family started filing in: My parents, Aunt Laura, Cousin Sean, his wife Kelly, my grandparents, Jeff, and one of the many beautiful girls he is currently dating. :-)

Also in May, Jackson and Grammy and Granddad hit the road for their 3rd annual baseball SEC Championship tournament in Hoover, AL.
Lots of baseball, sweet treats, and memories—perfect start to the summer.
Taylor got her ears pierced (I only have a video, no pictures). All the starter earrings were $20 except one pair -- the butterfly pair that were $40. You guessed it, she went right for the butterfly pair :-).
Grant went on his first father-son campout (with church). First time Scott brought both boys—Grant loved it, but apparently he was quite the pain during the night. I don’t think any of them got much sleep.
In extended family news, we have a new cousin! Baby Juliet joined Jay and Angie’s family this month. She’s perfect! We took care of Derek, which was fairly easy because Grant adores him and follows him everywhere! Jackson’s team was in the middle of playoffs, and of course Scott was out of town, so I dragged all 3 to the ballpark—check out the before and after pic! Cracks me up!
In other extended family new, Becky came it visit. Unfortunately she just missed the birth of Juliet. She also unfortunately was not here on pleasure, she needed more testing done to try and figure out why she is not sleeping. Prayers would be much appreciated! No matter the reason though, it was a treat to see her, and the kids can’t get enough of her.
Hard to believe I’m almost 30 weeks (this picture was taken at 25)! Felt very blessed this Mother’s Day, and the kids and Scott made me feel special. My heart always goes out to my friends who, for whatever reason, want to have children but haven’t been able to yet.
I guess the month was more full than I thought, maybe that’s why I’m 10 days late getting it out?? Hope you all are well….
